Statement on Feather River Adventist School Shooting

By Enoc Garcia, Washington Conference communication director

Our hearts go out to the students, families, and staff of the Feather River Adventist School in California following yesterday’s school shooting. We pray for the two students who are in critical but stable condition and are deeply grateful to God that the rest of the school community is safe.

Washington Conference oversees 21 schools, and the safety and well-being of our school communities and students are of utmost importance to us. We remain committed to following and enhancing the established safety protocols across all our schools.

Our prayers are with everyone affected, and we stand united with our Adventist family in California during this challenging time. Violence has no place in any school setting.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we work to ensure our schools remain safe and nurturing environments for all. If you have any questions about the safety measures being taken by our conference schools, please call our Education Department at 253.681.6021.
