Melissa OttoThis song is really special to me as I wrote it when I was pregnant with our first born daughter (Nyah). I was imagining God’s hand crafting a miracle in my belly. A ‘Loom’ is the wooden apparatus used for making fabric by weaving yarn or thread.
You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Sivasa Laupati‘Lightfall’ is my testimony song. It speaks of a person that has been away from Jesus for so long that the beginning lyric is, “It’s been some time…” Although it does not capture my testimony in its entirety, it does give you a glimpse into what I went through to get to where I am.
